Shemar Moore’s return as Malcolm Winters was billed as a quick visit, but when news broke that his primetime series S.W.A.T. was cancelled, speculation about a more permanent return blew up socials.
Look for the handsome and talented star to appear on Monday, May 8. Moore played Malcolm from 1994 to 2002 and appeared from 2004 to 2005, in 2014, and in 2019.
Moore won the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work on The Young and the Restless.

His last appearance was for a tribute episode to the late Kristoff St. John who played his brother Neil Winters. Likewise, Malcom’s current visit is also in honor of Neil. His daughter Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and her brother Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) are dedicating a jazz lounge to Neil when Malcom arrives to join the celebration.

Last week it was announced that Moore’s CBS series, “S.W.A.T.” was canceled after seven seasons.
Moore starred as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, a S.W.A.T. sergeant running a specialized law enforcement tactical unit in Los Angeles. The character encountered conflict policing the streets he grew up on and remaining loyal to his brothers in blue. Hondo often had to find a way to be loyal to both his past and his present and the cast included Rochelle Aytes as Hondo’s girlfriend Nichelle.
Season 6 is currently running and the Season 6 finale, titled “Legacy,” will air on May 19., According to Variety, in the finale “the team works with the DEA and their iron-jawed leader, Mack Boyle (Timothy Hutton), to stop a ruthless cartel boss waging war on the streets of Los Angeles as he exacts revenge on those who killed his son. The episode was written by Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier and directed by Billy Gierhart.”
