General Hospital Spoilers hint the potential jeopardy of bringing Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) home could be a fatal blow to Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), who is in dire need of her great aunt’s bone marrow. The trouble doesn’t stop there, though, as the fallout from Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) revenge scheme quickly hits the fan. Her plan backfired when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) stepped in and saved Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), as expected.
Now, Willow, Carly, and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) all have different opinions of Sonny, and the consequences of this could be monumental when Sonny and Carly start to find their way back to one another while Drew is off playing hero. If Drew doesn’t make it back to Port Charles, it could turn Carly — and her feelings for her ex-husband — upside down.

Drew is off to help locate the infamous Haunted Star and bring Liesl back safely to save Willow’s life. It’s a race against time, and when Drew disappears, it will leave Carly reeling with guilt after she slips up and cheats on him while awaiting his return. Sure, Sonny may love Nina, but he can’t just forget about Carly — the flame that never goes out. One can only imagine what their reunion would look like if Drew never comes back, because Carly might blame herself as though his presumed death was on her hands since she turned her back on him while he was away saving Willow’s life.

The way Sonny slipped in and had Carly’s back with the SEC has her rethinking her attitude toward him. Maybe the mob boss isn’t all that bad after all. Sure, he burned her badly with Nina when he returned from Nixon Falls, but perhaps he’s had enough time with Nina now to learn the hard way that she’ll never be what he needs — and what he needs is Carly. When Drew hangs back in Greenland to avoid the SEC back home, and he later goes missing, Carly just might just find herself dropping her guard and turning to Sonny for support. Furthermore, as Michael tears down his own walls and welcomes Sonny back into his life, Nina could be left in the dust. Old habits die hard, and these two have a lot of history to fall back on.
