The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease a brother battle’s coming up over Jabot. Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) doesn’t like Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) fondness for Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) so she’ll team up with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to oust Jack from Jabot!
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nothing Ashley Abbott’s Tried Has Worked
Nothing Ashley’s tried to talk sense into Jack’s head and break up him and Diane has worked-she even moved Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) in and that didn’t work. Jack hates Tucker as much as Ashley hates Diane, and Ashley has come to the conclusion Jack’s no longer in his right mind. A marriage between Jack and Diane could spell disaster for the family business, Jabot, and she simply cannot let that happen.
Jack is trying to marry Diane while she is awaiting trial on house arrest, and even if she is innocent, the public doesn’t know that. It’s such a sensational case that Jack’s personal life has become a public relations nightmare for Jabot.
Y & R Spoilers – Billy Abbott Didn’t Want Jack Abbott Forced Out
Previously, Billy hadn’t wanted Jack forced out of the company when he agreed to take Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) place as co-CEO. But Ashley likely thinks she can change Billy’s mind if she brings up she thinks Jack has mental health issues-after all, Billy’s very sensitive to that kind of thing. Ashley and Billy have a special kind of bond as half-siblings, Ashley having a different father and Billy having a different mother, and they’ve both felt on the outside looking in. Ashley might do her best to point out the lengths Jack has gone to. He’s even done shifty borderline illegal things to protect Diane and Ashley could point to them as evidence of his being unbalanced and unfit to lead.

When Ashley puts it that way, it may be easy for Billy to see that Jack could make unwise and risky business decisions and that he definitely needs to step down. Just the public relations nightmare in itself should be enough for Jack himself to see he needs at least to take a leave of absence. But Jack seems as obsessed with saving Diane as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) did at taking Diane down, and that could be dangerous for Jabot.
Ashley and Billy could even convince Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) about Jack’s mental capabilities and emotional strain. It wouldn’t take a lot for a board meeting to be called and Billy take over as sole CEO.
