General Hospital spoilers tease that when Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) arrived in Port Charles, he had one mission and one mission only: to work undercover for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Little did he know that his life was about to take an unexpected turn. Enter Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy), the feisty college co-ed who captured his heart in a matter of seconds. While Dex may have had his orders, he couldn’t help but become enamored with Joss.
Dex thought Michael would compel him to choose between his job or his sister, but ultimately, he won out and got what he wanted on both fronts. Now, it seems that has happened again as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) more or less gave Joss and Dex his blessing. But when Sonny learns that Dex has been working for Michael all this time to destroy his empire, heads are going to roll — and Joss and Dex’s love for one another will be tested.

Sonny and Michael’s relationship was already on rocky ground after Sonny jumped into bed with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) — literally and figuratively. But throw in the fact that Michael found a partner to take down his own father, and it’s a recipe for a heart-wrenching family disaster. Recently, Dex has taken to Sonny’s way of teaching him, and he’s realized he actually appreciates the mob boss for who he is — the good and the bad. Michael and Joss never expected Dex to switch sides, but it seems that the bond being forged between Dex and Sonny might just have some unforeseen consequences.

The mob life is no joke, and not everyone has what it takes to survive it. Joss may be in over her head falling for a bad boy working for Sonny, but love makes us do crazy things, like ignore warning signs and dive headfirst into a life-threatening romance. Although Joss thought they were on the same page about Sonny, it remains to be seen whether she and Dex have what it takes to last when the pressures of the mob are barrelling down against them. He may insist that he’s going to see this plan through no matter what, but there’s a good chance Dex is lying to himself, too. For now, they both stand by Michael’s side, but what happens when Michael decides he doesn’t want this anymore?
