Nick has been concerned that Victoria gave Nate a job at their family’s company Newman Enterprises. Victoria had wanted Nate to help her take over his family’s company Chancellor-Winters. Victoria knew that Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) were considering launching an IPO in order to take Chancellor-Winters public. Victoria had wanted to find a way to be able to use the IPO launch as way to take over Chancellor-Winters. Nate had wanted to take control of Chancellor-Winters and wanted to help Victoria.
Nate had a change of heart about taking Chancellor-Winters from Devon and Lily. Nate had lost his position at Chancellor-Winters because of his plan. Victoria had wanted Nate to take over the position of CEO of Newman Media. Victoria knows that Nick was upset that she wanted to work with Nate. Nick has believed that Nate could decide to betray Victoria because he betrayed Devon and Lily.
