General Hospital spoilers tease Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) hit the nail on the head when she hinted to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) having more than his kids on his mind when he raced to the PCPD to make sure Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was safe. Sonny’s life has been battle after battle since his divorce from Carly — a fate he never wanted but felt forced into when he misinterpreted Carly’s absence one night as her giving up on their marriage — and quickly jumped into bed with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Now, he’s got a chance to make things right again and although he’s keen on lying to himself, Diane sees right through him.

It seems like the rumor mill has been working overtime with this juicy piece of gossip about Carly and Drew potentially tying the knot to avoid testifying against each other. Will they or won’t they? The suspense is killing us. Carly has been enjoying seeing where things go with Drew, and she doesn’t really want to muddy the waters of their relationship by jumping into something that they’re not ready for. Simultaneously, Sonny will promise Carly the cover of a marriage of convenience that will shield her from any testimony he could give against her. Ummm, couldn’t he just lie? Since when is he opposed to that? If Carly doesn’t call him out and see through this ridiculous attempt to get her back, we’ll have to assume it’s because she’s all for it.

The quips and pointed questions between Diane and Sonny aren’t over yet. Diane knows Sonny well. He’s more than just a client, and she knows the dynamic between him and the former Mrs. Corinthos. It’s never a matter of if they’ll find their way back to each other, but when. Is that time now? With Sonny offering Carly a quickie wedding and divorce just to suit her current legal needs, and Drew offering her the real thing but far too soon, it’s going to be a difficult decision that Carly will have to make.
