The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease that Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) could let Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) get inside his head. That could trigger disaster for Nick and Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) relationship and potential marriage!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Not Married, Or Even Engaged

Nick and Adam had gotten in a small kerfuffle over Sally in the episode of May 11 and Adam had remarked how Nick and Sally aren’t married, or even engaged. Adam downplayed the seriousness of Nick’s relationship with her and his intentions, and he was concerned he’d lose interest once his infatuation fades. Adam, on the other hand was and still is really in love with her and regrets his dumping her over business reasons-sacrificing their relationship so she could keep her job.

Now, Sally won’t take him back and the goodbye sex they had has made them a baby girl. Nick’s hearing Adam’s opinions about whether Nick really loves her or not and whether he’s in for the long haul could spur a grand gesture-that makes things worse.

Y & R Spoilers – Promises, Promises

Nick doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to relationships that have stood the test of time, although he’s good friends with his first wife, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). But, “friends” is the operative word there, especially since their youngest child Faith Newman (Reylinn Caster) is away at college now and the mother of his other daughter’s presumed dead.

Viewers may have noticed that since Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) “memorial service” Nick hasn’t reached out to Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) he’s been focused in on Sally. But moving too fast to secure an engagement to Sally could potentially backfire in Nick’s face – it might bring up bad memories of her last engagement in Los Angeles. Sally might feel overwhelmed or that Nick is merely trying to make her an “honest woman” or manipulate her-that Spencer boy in LA and his waffling really hurt Sally!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Maybe Adam Newman’s Playing Mind Games

Of course, it’s always possible that Adam was playing mind games with Nick over Sally, knowing it could scare her away from Nick and back to his waiting arms. Adam and Sally seemed to be true soulmates when they were together, but he has to prove his love and devotion to her again and regain her trust. They understood each other better than anyone else either one of them had ever met, and they were truly equals.

Will Adam get his wish and get a second chance with the mother of his baby girl? Will Nick indeed move too fast to snag her permanently and scare her?
