General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) could collapse while talking with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) revealing his devastating diagnosis. In a preview, Finn is shown talking to Gregory questioning his news that couldn’t wait, having summoned him to the Metro Court but delays to answer-Gregory has ALS.
General Hospital Spoilers – Delaying The Inevitable
Gregory’s been delaying the inevitable by not telling his sons, and especially not his doctor son Finn, about his diagnosis of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Finn already knows there’s something going on his father’s held back because Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) had called him about what she thought was passing out from drinking. Not being there when his father passed out, he couldn’t really judge if that was what happened or not – later, Greg admitted his diagnosis to Alexis, but swore her to secrecy.
It’s not for certain that the news Gregory has called Finn about is about his devastating diagnosis, but one thing is certain. If Gregory collapses in front of his son, Finn knows the difference between passing out drunk and passing out from a neurological disorder!
GH Spoilers – Hamilton Finn And Harrison Chase Both Have A Clue
Both Finn and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) have a clue that something could be going on with their father’s health, although Finn knows much more than Chase. Chase had run into his dad at GH several months ago when Gregory had come to see TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) about a medical condition then ghosted him. Greg lied and said he sprained his shoulder, or something like that but then he found out Finn was working that shift so he left. Gregory was so anxious to hide his condition that he let his family think he was still teaching at Port Charles University, and Alexis found out he’d been gone several months. She had offered him a job she knew he’d love at the Invader and he turned her down, making her suspicious when he said the University wouldn’t let him moonlight.
General Hospital Spoilers – Hidden No More
If Gregory’s delay in answering Finn about the news that he said couldn’t wait as they meet at the Metro Court is due to his disorder, Finn will spot it. Even if Gregory doesn’t collapse or have some kind of seizure, Finn is an expert in rare disorders, and many are neurological; ALS, while not rare, is sometimes misdiagnosed. When Gregory first made a visit to Port Charles before his divorce from Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) he saw Finn about what he was told was Lyme Disease.

Lyme Disease can be misdiagnosed as ALS, and ALS misdiagnosed as Lyme Disease. It may be a challenge for Finn to determine which his father really has, but it would behoove Gregory to let Finn have a crack at it!
