Days of Our Lives spoilers recently revealed that fan fave Camila Banus would be exiting the NBC soap opera after many years as Gabi Hernandez. However, it’s still unclear how the writers will address the exit. Actually, there may not be an exit at all. Rumor has it, Days of Our Lives could be planning to recast Camila Banus’ character and are on the hunt for a new Gabi.
Camila Banus became a household name on Days of Our Lives over the years. So, fans were shocked this month when the actress announced she was leaving the soap opera after failed contract negotiations. It’s hard to imagine any other actress playing the part of Gabi Hernandez, but that’s what it may come down to.

Days of Our Lives spoilers show Gabi Hernandez is as healthy as a horse, has no reason to drop dead, and has no desire to leave Salem for a lengthy period of time. The writers seem to have really backed themselves in to a corner and clearly weren’t writing storylines with the idea that the character of Gabi won’t be around any longer.
The soap opera has invested so much in to the Gabi and Stefan coupling, it would seem absurd to kill off the character or send her off the canvas with a one-way ticket. Without Gabi, what would happen to Brandon Barash’s DOOL character? Will he be out of a job too?

DOOL Spoilers – Will There Be A New Gabi Hernandez?
So far Days of Our Lives has not confirmed nor denied the recast rumors. But, it really looks like they have no choice but to recast the character. Even if it is just to give Gabi a grand finale or a proper sendoff.
