Lily Brooks O’Briant returns to the screen this week as delightful teen Lucy Romalotti.
She is the daughter of Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) who has relocated to GC after the fallout from his failed relationship with Lucy’s mom.
The teenager came back for a visit from Portugal to attend her grandmother Phyllis Summers’ funeral and this week we see that she never left.

It was easy to miss Lucy in the background as all of GC has been wrapped up in the mysterious conundrum of Phyllis’ death/reappearance/re-disappearance. This plot is like a now you see it now you don’t old fashioned mystery and for the moment half of Genoa City believes that Red is alive and a bunch of more logically minded people can’t believe it.

Now that we know that Lucy is still in town, will she be the next one to stumble across Phyllis? Or maybe Phyllis will try to take her into her confidence next? She has already shown herself to Daniel and her daughter Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) so there’s no reason to think the unscrupulous woman wouldn’t try to rope her granddaughter into her mess.

Has anyone else noticed how the news of Phyllis’ faked death hasn’t fazed anyone? Her loved ones are happy she is alive but what about the whole faking her death/framing an innocent woman thing? Let’s hope that after she resurfaces Phyllis finally gets what’s coming to her and we’re not talking about a suite at the Grand Phoenix we’re talking about a prison cell.
