Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that except for Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and his father, no one outside of the DiMera family has ever had much control at DiMera Enterprises. It’s never really been explained how or why the Shin’s have had so much control over DiMera Enterprises all this time, but perhaps there is a reason for that. Perhaps Stefano DiMera (the late Joe Mascolo) put the Shin’s in that position so that they could speak for Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) who until recently was believed to be dead for several decades.

For reasons yet unrevealed, Megan did not rejoin her family after she was revived from her apparent death by electrocution. Perhaps Stefano wanted to keep Megan safe and hidden from further harm once she was revived. Whatever the reason, none of Megan’s siblings had any inkling she was alive and well. Perhaps that’s the whole reason why Mr. Shin was placed on the board. If Megan couldn’t participate in the family company directly, perhaps she made her wishes knows through Shin. This wouldn’t be the first time Megan’s presence as a DiMera was hidden. When Megan first arrived in Salem, everyone believed that her father was Maxwell Hathaway (Tom Hallick) because Stefano wanted to keep her safe from the enemies. Perhaps Shin is being used in a similar way.
DOOL Spoilers – Li Shin May Have Known About Megan Hathaway All This Time!
If Megan really is the one who really made the decisions attributed to the Shins, than she has been helping run the company behind the scenes as long as the Shin’s have been on the board. But now that everyone knows Megan is alive and well, perhaps Li’s presence at DiMera will no longer be needed and Megan can use her shares herself. This could certainly impact Li’s promise to give Gabi Hernandez (Camilla Banus) his shares of the company. If they aren’t his to give, Gabi won’t get them either. This could mean a huge restructuring for the company.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Megan Hathaway Seems Ready To Stage A Coup!
Although she obviously hasn’t cared for DiMera Enterprises personally, all of that may change now. She is seemingly forming a bond with adoptive sister Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) and once the two of them are out of prison, they may decide to have a more active role with the company. Although both of them have other interests for more important to them than running the company, they might have someone new in mind to take over. With Dmitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte) recently revealed to be Megan’s son, perhaps he will be their choice to run the family business. But the Shin family, may no longer have the power they once did and may even disappear from the board. Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) would seemingly be unaffected since she works in IT and is not an executive.
